Buncheongware is a vessel that uses a technique of applying white slip to the surface of the vessel, and it is characterized by a technique that is seen in Korean Celadonware seen near the end of Goryeo and early Joseon dynasties, sixteenth century. This workshop will explore 7 techniques of Buncheong. Inhwa (stamped), Sanggam (inlay), Johwa (incised), Bakji (sgraffito), Gwiyal (brushed), Dumbung (dipped) techniques, and Cheolhwa (iron painting) techniques. Participants will learn about the differences of each technique and explore hands-on with prepared pieces and tools provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own works in leather hard stage.

We will bisque fire (1) piece per partipant.
