In this 2-day hands-on workshop, Andrew Clark will be making a jar with a locking lid. He will demonstrate hand-building and throwing techniques to make various simple parts that will then be used to construct a more complex jar and lid. Andrew will guide participants through the full process of building the jar and walk through his finishing techniques using terra sigillata and underglaze.
Day 1: Participants will focus on throwing and altering multi-part pieces with demonstrations from Andrew.
Day 2: Participants will focus on putting the multiple parts together and decorating the pieces.
This workshop is for beginners with experience to advanced potters.
