Description

Formerly known as our queer mixer, join us for an evening of pottery to celebrate queer community through clay! This class is beginner friendly, all materials are included, and all are welcome. Bring a friend, bring a partner, bring an ally, and bring yourself - we’ll take care of the rest.

As we celebrate in this two-hour hand-building class, each student will be given ~1 lb. of clay to start and our instructor will guide you through basic hand-building techniques that you can use to create a small object of your choosing. Make a small vase, pinch pot, sculpture, or creature, or get as creative as you’d like!

After after class, your work will be glazed with a transparent, food-safe glaze. We'll fire it in the kilns for you, and about three weeks later your finished piece will be ready to pick up. The student who registered for the class will be the recipient of the pickup email.

The enrollment fee covers registration for one student, if you are attending as a group you must reserve a spot for each person in your party.

Sliding Scale Pricing:

There are Sliding Scale price options available for this class. The registration fee you select does not affect the type of instruction you will receive - all registration price options are for the same class offering; please select the scale option that feels right for you and your current finances.

Tier 1 ($75) is a pay-it-forward rate that helps subsidize lower-cost spots for those who need them and supports our ability to continue offering and expanding these programs. Tier 2 ($60) reflects the true cost of the class. If you’re able, we encourage choosing a higher tier—your support directly helps us expand affordable class opportunities for others.

Please note discounts and promotions may not be applicable to any tiers outside of the true class cost.
