Please join us for our first workshop for Obvara firing! Also known as Baltic Raku, we will experiment with pulling our pieces out of the kiln while they are still hot, and dunking them quickly in the obvara mixture– which is made from water, flour, yeast, and sugar– before sealing the design in water. The result is pottery with beautiful patterns in creamy tans, browns, and blacks.
Bring your bisqueware! Each participant can bring up to 3 pieces of 120 cubic inches or less.
