Join architect and ceramic artist Sona Gevorkyan for a hands-on exploration of 3D clay printing! This workshop is designed for:

  1. Beginners with no prior 3D modeling experience who want to learn the fundamentals of creating simple forms with textured surfaces and the process of printing with the 3D Potter Printer.
Workshop Overview:
  • April 25th (All Levels) – Learn the fundamentals of Potterware software, explore the 3D printing process, and create your first textured designs.

This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to ceramic 3D printing, guiding participants through the entire digital-to-physical process—from designing in software to printing in clay.

No prior experience is necessary for the introductory class.

About Sona Gevorkyan: Architect, Ceramic Artist

Sona Gevorkyan is an architect, educator, and artist with a focus on digital fabrication, ceramics, and visual AI-driven design. She is the founder of Sona Gevorkyan Architecture Office (SGAO) and a lecturer at Cal Poly Pomona. With experience in both professional practice and academia, her work explores the intersection of materiality, cultural identity, and emerging technologies in architecture and design.

She engages deeply with ceramic 3D printing and wheel throwing, experimenting with clay across different mediums to explore its material possibilities.

For cancellations made fewer than 4 full days, but more than 24 hours before the start time, a 50% refund or 50% credit toward another class or workshop will be issued. We cannot provide refunds or credits for cancellations or rescheduling requests made fewer than 24 hours before the start time of class, if you miss your class, or arrive too late to participate.
